The NCFDD has many resources that are helpful to faculty, as well as their trainees. Membership is free to Sinai faculty and trainees because an institutional membership is purchased by the Office of Faculty Development in partnership with several departments. This resource provides on-demand access to webinars including “Cultivating Your Network of Mentors and Sponsors” and “How to Develop a Daily Writing Practice.” They regularly organize a 14-Day Writing Challenge and build a community of support and access to mentors. |

The Science of Effective Mentoring Committee within the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine | The committee systematically compiled and analyzed current research on the characteristics, competencies, and behaviors of effective mentors and mentees in STEMM and developed a practical resource guide for mentoring practitioners to create and support viable, sustainable mentoring support systems. |
