Faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai hold leadership roles both internally and externally. For this reason, we feel it is imperative that we equip our faculty with the tools to lead with confidence, compassion, authenticity, and courage. The Office of Faculty Development and the Office of Well-being and Resilience recognize that junior faculty are learning to be leaders of labs, students, clinical, and research teams. We focus our leadership training programs and resources for the emerging faculty and adapt our programs for senior leaders to enrich and refresh best practices. Our approach to leadership training seeks to equip faculty with the skills to foster positive, safe, equitable, and collaborative work environments and relationships.
