Medical Student Research Day

The Medical Student Research Day is hosted annually to share and showcase the scientific knowledge created by Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai students through their investigative studies. The 2025 Medical Student Research Day was held on Thursday, May 1, 2025. A celebration of the accomplishments, curiosity, and rigorous research of the medical student body, this year’s event marked the 30th year of Medical Student Research Day. Founded by former Medical Research Office Director, Karen Zier, PhD, Professor Emeritus, in 2018 the celebration was renamed in Dr. Zier’s honor.

Medical Student Research Day included in-person student poster and oral presentations. The oral presenters were:
